Wonder Wheel

'Wonder Wheel,' is a tribal, glo-fi solo project based out of Orange County. I caution you though, listening to 'WW' will provoke extreme hood up, head bobbing. "Over the Top," the second track on the outstanding "Peters Plant Food" LP, is a great example of how progressive the "Low-Tide" movement has gotten. Booming drum kits shuffle with warm, glowing, synth to create a massive 'Animal-esque' anthem. Grab "Over The Top," some bonus Mp3's and check out the dates, after the jump.

ALASKAS

There are always a few bands out there that are doing something completely original, some good and some not so good. 'ALASKAS' is a example of a band that has successfully made a sound that is not only original but also produces some boss tracks. "Pronoun" is a hopping, tribal ballad that makes up good use of a rhythmic guitar part and a thudding drum piece. "I Am Yours" is very similar in some aspects but "Pronoun" is most definitely the stand out. Snag a copy of both Mp3's and check the tour dates out after the jump.

Young Buffalo

Little is known about new comers 'Young Buffalo' but what we do know is that put out some great tunes. Take "New Beat" for example, this tribal freak-folkish song is reminiscent of olden day AnCo. "Catapilah" on the other hand is more of a up tempo foot stomping rumpus of awesomeness. Young Buffalo have a brand new demo on their MySpace for free, so be sure to pick up a copy. Mp3s and tour dates after jump.
